After spearheading a very easy chase of 206, Kohli put an end to South Africa's suffering with his third century of the series. The Proteas were bowled out for 204 at that point, with Shardul Thakur taking four wickets to lead the way. The Proteas were mentally and physically exhausted by that point. India lost Rohit early on in the innings, but they went on to thrash South Africa 6-1 thanks to Kohli's 61-run partnership with Dhawan and then another 126-run unbeaten stand with Rahane.
