Virat Kohli ODI Hundred No. 2

Virat Kohli‘s Run: 102*

Against: BangladeshBangladesh

Venue: Sher-e-Bangla Stadium, Dhaka

Match Date: 11 January 2010

Match Result: India Won

Kohli performed admirably in a tri-nation event in Bangladesh that included Sri Lanka. In back-to-back league matches, he scored 91 against the hosts and an undefeated 71 against the Lankans. Kohli, who appeared destined for hundreds in both of these innings, eventually hit three figures against Bangladesh, giving India a perfect four-game winning streak. They chased a target of 248 with Kohli's unbeaten century leading the way, and they overcame Bangladesh by six wickets. India needed someone to come through because Gambhir and Dinesh Karthik got off to good beginnings. Stepping up, Kohli executed that part to perfection, clinking 11 fours and holding one. India was defeated by Sri Lanka in the final, but the way that Kohli led India's chase three times in a row was a harbinger of things to come.
